Lumen sells a portable device that measures, tracks and analyzes metabolism. One guided breath into the device's CO₂ sensor reads whether the body is burning fat or carbs at that moment. Breath, sleep, meals and workouts are drawn together into a single reading the company calls Body State, covering what is happening and why. From that, the app returns one next best action: eat, move, fuel or recover. A live compass shows whether a user is on track to metabolic health. The readings sit alongside other devices a person may already use: a ring that sees sleep, a watch that sees load, and a log that sees meals. Lumen describes its work as bringing personalized nutrition to the entire world, and says it is open about all its science and developments.
